We’re Kathy Kale Nelson and Linda LaTourelle — co-hosts of Ordinarily Extraordinary: Conversations with Women in STEM.

Kathy, an electrical engineer, launched the podcast in 2020 to share unfiltered, real-life stories of women across STEM disciplines. With 130+ episodes and counting, our mission is to amplify the voices of ordinary women doing extraordinary work in science, technology, engineering, and math.

We aim to:

  • Normalize the presence of women in STEM by making their stories visible

  • Build community for women who may be the only ones like them in their workplace

  • Educate listeners about the diversity of STEM careers and what those jobs actually involve

  • Support retention, growth, and leadership by addressing the barriers that contribute to the leaky pipeline
